The Citizen BL8000-54L stainless steel men's watch is loaded with style and time-keeping features. It's powered by Citizen's unique Eco-Drive, which absorbs sunlight as well as any artificial light through the crystal and dial to recharge the watch continuously. With regular exposure to light, the Eco-Drive recharges itself for a lifetime of use. The watch also has a perpetual calendar that automatically adjusts for odd and even months and leap years through 2100.It has a blue dial background with three subdials for 24-hour, day, and month as well as date window at 4 o'clock. The silver stainless steel bracelet band is composed of small brushed links, and is joined by a fold-over clasp with double push button safety. Other features include water resistance to 330 feet (100 meters), an alarm, and a scratch-resistant, non-reflective mineral crystal.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a Christmas present. It looks so good on him and he gets compliments on it all the time. Its a very professional and stylish watch and the dark blue is really special. It is super comfortable and the weight is good as well. Great buy I recommend for anyone.

I've owned this watch for the last 4 years. It looks incredible and I've often seen people looking at it when I'm wearing it. It's tough and very water proof (I've gone SCUBA diving with it). The battery never needs replacement - a huge plus!. My only complaint is the watch crystal, which now is heavily scratched. Luckily, all you need to do is send to citizen, which for $47 can replace the crystal with a scratch proof sapphire. Easily as good as the Tags, except for a much great value!

Let's start by saying I love this watch. I picked it myself as an anniversary present from my wife. The perpetual calendar and day of the week indicators were key features because of my very strange working schedule. I was concerned about the crystal material- had my heart set on sapphire, but had to compromise to get the best over all package of features I was looking for. The crystal has held up well over the past 6 months, so I'm satisfied with that. The band and clasp are perfect and inspire confidence that you won't lose it. The size of the watch is great too- just a little bigger than a cheap watch, but it's not huge and gaudy and it wears light. I'd rate my wrists as slim-to-average, the watch looks perfect. I almost wanted to give this watch a 3-star rating because of its technical shortcomings, but I love it too much. This things I don't like are all technical... The alarm is quiet. I've hung the watch on my bedpost and the alarm failed to wake me. I'm a light sleeper, so I was surprised by this even though other reviewers complained of the same thing. Not only that, but it takes too much time to turn the alarm on and off. You have to wait until the hands wind from current time to alarm time before you can turn it on or off or change the alarm time. It's definitely an inconvenience to wait for the hands to stop moving before you can change the alarm. Also, it is easy to mess up your time by pulling the crown out too far when you want to navigate to different modes. That's frustrating because the watch is very accurate, to within a second per month. One final thing is the color of the face. Other reviewers have said that the face is actually blue- not true. The face is most definitely black, but the anti-reflective coating on the crystal makes the face seem blue a lot of the time depending on lighting conditions. This does not bother me, but beware if this characteristic is important to you.

I bought this watch for my husband. When he saw it he said it was one of the nicest looking watches he's ever seen. It's a good size watch for a man of medium build. It really is a stunning looking watch and no maintenance once it's set up. Set up was easy to do watching an interactive video on the Citizen website. Very happy with this purchase!
